Responsible Gaming

This page sets out how gambling is treated across this site, what a reader will find on every page, and where the practical work of managing gambling actually takes place.

What help links appear on this site, and where?

Every page of this site, including this one, carries links to three independent gambling-help organisations: begambleaware.org, gamblingtherapy.org and gamcare.org.uk. These are the only outbound links on the whole site that are not commercial. Unlike the operator links, they carry no sponsored marking, they are set to nofollow, and they open in a separate tab on the organisations' own websites. This site receives nothing when a reader follows one of them.

Who is this site meant for?

The eighteen-and-over restriction is repeated throughout this build, including on the front page and at the end of every operator listing. Each of the ten operator listings closes with the same line: check availability and the current terms at the destination before claiming anything, because eligibility rules and terms apply there and can change without notice. Everything a reader can actually do with money happens after leaving this site. Each operator link redirects to a third party, and from that moment the destination's rules, checks and account controls apply, not anything published here.

How should a reader decide what to spend?

Decide the amount before starting and treat it as already spent, the same way you would treat the cost of a ticket to an event. Deciding in advance removes the pressure of deciding in the moment, when a run of results can make a bigger figure feel reasonable. Never chase a loss: a loss is the cost of the entertainment, and trying to win it back usually means spending more to chase a result that isn't guaranteed. Keep gambling out of borrowed money, so a bad run stays a bad run rather than becoming a debt. Take breaks between sessions, and involve someone else early, before the amount or the frequency becomes something you'd rather not mention.

Where do account-level controls actually sit?

Controls such as deposit caps, loss caps, reality checks, cooling-off periods or self-exclusion belong to an operator account. This build has no account, no form and no server-side application, so nothing published here can switch one on, check one or enforce one. A reader who wants any of those controls sets them up inside the account at the destination they've chosen, using the tools that operator provides there.

Does this site check age or watch how anyone gambles?

Nobody's age is verified on this site, and no gambling takes place on it; any check of that kind happens at the destination once a reader has followed a link there. No advertising or behavioural profiling network is present in these pages, so nothing here is targeted at a reader who has shown risky behaviour. The only visit data collected is the page path, the type of event, the name of a referring search engine and the text of a clicked outbound button, used solely to count page views and outbound clicks — and only when a visitor arrives from a search engine.

What can't this page tell a reader?

This page cannot tell a reader how any operator's account controls behave, because that behaviour lives at the destination, not here. It cannot confirm that stopping, pausing or limiting play will happen in any particular way, because nothing on this static page can start, check or stop anything on a reader's behalf. What it can do is point to the three organisations named above, repeat the age restriction found throughout the site, and remind a reader that the terms and controls that matter are the ones waiting at the destination link.
